Utz is adding three new items to the snack aisle this fall: Chicken Dipping Sauce Flavored Potato Chips, Cheddar Bacon Ranch Flavored Cheese Balls and Spicy Pickle Flavored Bites, the latter made in partnership with Grillo’s Pickles.
“We’re always looking for ways to bring bold, unexpected flavors to the snack aisle without losing sight of what’s made Utz a household name for over 100 years,” said Stacey Schultz, SVP of marketing at Utz Quality Foods, a subsidiary of Utz Brands Inc. “This lineup gives snackers something new to reach for that will excite their taste buds and keeps snacking fun.”
Utz Ripples Chicken Dipping Sauce Potato Chips, a permanent addition made from fresh potatoes with a tangy/smoky/sweet sauce-inspired flavor, rolled out Sept. 21 in 7.75-ounce and 2.75-ounce bags at retailers including Walmart, Publix, Albertsons and Sheetz, as well as online.
Cheddar Bacon Ranch Cheese Balls combine the brand’s cheese ball crunch with bacon and ranch notes, in 2.5-ounce bags at convenience retailers including CVS, regional Circle K stores and QuikTrip.
Spicy Pickle Bites, a corn-based snack in 2.5-ounce bags, deliver the dill, garlic and vinegar tang of a Grillo’s pickle with a spicy kick. They are available at convenience retailers including 7-Eleven, Circle K, Sheetz and Wawa.
“We’ve been working with Utz since 2022 to bring pickle lovers new ways to enjoy our flavor beyond the refrigerated pickle aisle,” said Mark Luker, chief commercial officer at Grillo’s. “They’ve been great partners over the years, and the new Spicy Pickle Bites are a fun addition to the lineup.”
Hanover, Pennsylvania-based Utz Brands, which has been making snacks since 1921, manufactures a portfolio of savory snack brands including Utz, On The Border Chips & Dips, Zapp’s and Boulder Canyon, distributed nationally through grocery, mass, club, convenience and drug channels. Grillo’s, founded in Boston in 2008, sells its cold-packed, preservative-free pickles in more than 31,000 stores nationwide.
