Keasbey, New Jersey-based ShopRite has introduced Wellness Your Way Starter Kits, a free and limited-time offering designed to support customers beginning GLP-1 medications for weight management. Customers filling their first GLP-1 prescription at a ShopRite Pharmacy will receive a kit while supplies last.
Each kit includes complimentary product samples and nutrition tips to help customers build healthy habits from the start. The kit contains a wellness guide developed with input from ShopRite’s registered dietitians, covering protein intake, hydration and lifestyle changes. The guide also includes tips for navigating the store and recipes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Product samples in the kit include an Oikos Protein Shake, Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier and Vital Proteins Collagen Powder. Coupons are included for Pre Brands premium lean beef, Healthy Choice frozen meals and The Fruitist Co. fresh blueberries.
“We’ve seen a growing number of customers seeking GLP-1 medications, and we want to make sure they feel supported from the moment they fill that first prescription,” said Aaron Sapp, VP of pharmacy and wellness for Wakefern Food Corp., the retailer-owned cooperative behind ShopRite supermarkets and pharmacies.
“These starter kits provide simple tools and tips that help people take those important early steps to be successful in their weight loss journey.”
Supermarket pharmacies occupy a position at the intersection of medicine and food, two drivers of everyday health. The Wellness Your Way Starter Kit is designed to help customers connect their prescriptions, nutrition choices and overall well-being in one place.
The kits are available at ShopRite Pharmacy locations for a limited time while supplies last. More information is available at shoprite.com/wellness-your-way. ShopRite’s Wellness Your Way nutrition guide can be found at shoprite.com.
