ShopRite of Hatfield, Pennsylvania

The McMenamin family, new owners and operators of the ShopRite of Hatfield, Pennsylvania, has celebrated the store’s grand reopening following a multiphased renovation. The store at 170 Forty Foot Road remained open throughout the transformation.

The revitalized store features more than 8,000 lowered prices, expanded fresh and prepared food offerings, an enlarged sushi bar, a Chinese buffet and new services designed to make shopping easier for Montgomery County families.

Longtime county residents Sean and Bria McMenamin, the brother-and-sister team behind the store, are second-generation grocers.

“Our family is honored to own and operate the ShopRite of Hatfield and be part of this wonderful community,” said Sean McMenamin, president of McMenamin Family ShopRites and current chairman of Wakefern Food Corp., which owns the ShopRite banner. “For more than 30 years, we have operated stores in northeast Philadelphia, and we are excited to bring that experience to our local marketplace.”

“As brother and sister with families of our own, Sean and I set out to create the kind of store we would want to shop ourselves: warm, welcoming and full of great options at a strong value,” said Bria McMenamin. “Our vision was to create a true one-stop supermarket experience that makes shopping easier, more enjoyable and more responsive to the needs of today’s shoppers.”

Store offerings include Fresh to Table prepared foods, custom cakes, a large beer and wine selection, online ordering for pickup or delivery, locally owned products, and a 5 percent senior discount on Tuesdays and 5 percent veterans discount on Wednesdays.

ShopRite is the registered trademark of Wakefern, the Keasbey, New Jersey-based retailer-owned cooperative, with hundreds of supermarkets in six states.
