Fresco Supermarkets has opened its seventh Fresco Liquor store, located inside its existing supermarket at 1211 E. 10th Ave. in Hialeah, Florida.

The grocer said the in-store liquor shop offers customers a curated selection of wine, tequila, rum, whiskey and other spirits at competitive prices.

Fresco Supermarkets, which celebrated its 10th anniversary earlier this year, introduced Fresco Liquor in 2023. Its stores are designed to serve Hispanic and Caribbean families with quality products, everyday value and a convenient neighborhood shopping experience. The grocer noted that it has operated in the Hialeah neighborhood since its founding.

“For the past decade, we’ve focused on understanding what our customers want and finding ways to make their shopping experience even better,” said Sergio Benitez, director of operations for Fresco Supermarkets, which is based in Miami. “The opening of our seventh Fresco Liquor store is an extension of that commitment, giving our Hialeah customers more selection, convenience and great prices, all in one place. Hialeah has been part of our story from the beginning, and we’re proud to keep investing in this community.”

To celebrate, customers 21 and older can enjoy in-store tastings Nov. 5-8 featuring tequila, rum, whiskey and wine selections, with special pricing throughout November.

Fresco Supermarkets, formed when Fresco Retail Group bought Winn-Dixie’s former Fresco y Mas stores, operates 26 stores in south and central Florida.
