The Giant Company is expanding its wellbeing services to support customers taking GLP-1 medications, combining personalized nutrition guidance, pharmacy expertise and wellness resources to help customers build healthy habits.

“As more customers turn to GLP-1 medications as part of their health journey, Giant and Martin’s pharmacists and dietitians are helping them navigate what comes next,” said Nick Koch, director of pharmacy and wellbeing at The Giant Company, which operates stores under the Giant and Martin’s banners. “Whether looking for protein-rich meal ideas or weight management with GLP-1 medications, our wellbeing team members are available every step of the way to both inform and help our customers shop with confidence.”

The Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based grocer cited a July Gallup National Health and Well-Being Index survey finding that about 11 percent of U.S. adults reported actively using a GLP-1 medication for weight loss in 2026, up from 3 percent in 2024, with usage for weight loss nearly quadrupling in two years.

All Giant and Martin’s pharmacies are participating in the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge Program offered by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, which provides eligible Medicare Part D patients with access to certain GLP-1 medications for weight loss and weight management through Dec. 31, 2027, with a $50 copay. Customers should consult their healthcare provider about program eligibility and for a prescription.
