The Giant Company has begun renovations at its Giant store at 737 Huntingdon Pike in Huntingdon Valley, Pennsylvania. The store will remain open during the renovations, which are expected to be completed in early 2027.
“As we prepare to celebrate 15 years of serving the Huntingdon Valley community next year, it was time for a needed refresh throughout the store,” said Jonathan Augustine, store manager of the Huntingdon Valley Giant. “The store team is excited to improve the shopping experience for our customers, while staying true to Giant’s commitment to value and freshness.”
The store’s fresh offerings, including produce, bakery, meat and seafood, along with the center store aisles and beer and wine areas, will be updated with improved efficiencies for shoppers and an enhanced assortment of products. The deli and prepared foods department will undergo an overhaul to offer more Grab ‘n Go items for busy customers.
The pharmacy will be relocated to the opposite side of the store, and a new consultation room will be added for pharmacists to administer immunizations. The kosher bakery also will move to a new location to create more space for dedicated dry, fresh and frozen kosher products.
The Huntingdon Valley Giant opened in 2012 and employs about 200 team members. The store is open from 6 a.m.-11 p.m. seven days a week.
