El Mexicano® Cotija wins Best of Class Latin American Hard Style Cheeses

Marquez Brothers International Inc. announced that two of its dairy brands received multiple awards at the 2026 World Championship Cheese Contest. The family-owned company’s flagship El Mexicano brand and its YoGusto brand were honored in several categories at the global dairy competition.

The El Mexicano brand received Best of Class for its Queso Cotija in the Latin American Hard Style Cheeses category. The brand also earned second place for El Mexicano Guava Drinkable Yogurt and third place honors for Queso Fresco Casero, Queso Fresco Cremoso, Requesón and Crema Mexicana.

El Mexicano® Saborico® wins 2nd Place in Drinkable Cultured Products

The YoGusto brand, Marquez Brothers’ line of drinkable yogurts and cultured dairy beverages, received Best of Class for YoGusto Drinkable Yogurt Low-Fat Mango and YoGusto Drinkable Yogurt Cultured Milk – Kumis. Third Place honors went to YoGusto Drinkable Yogurt Low-Fat Guanábana, YoGusto Drinkable Yogurt Low-Fat Mango and YoGusto Drinkable Yogurt Cultured Milk – Coffee.

The World Championship Cheese Contest is among the dairy industry’s most prestigious global competitions. Products were judged on flavor, quality and craftsmanship among thousands of entries from dairy producers worldwide.
