NGA Show 2027 keynote Pompeo

Michael R. Pompeo, the 70th U.S. secretary of state, former CIA director and four-term member of Congress, will deliver the opening keynote address at the the National Grocers Association‘s NGA Show 2027, taking place Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at the MGM Grand Conference Center in Las Vegas.

Pompeo will share his perspective on leadership, economic policy, global affairs and the challenges facing organizations in an interconnected world, with insights into navigating uncertainty, leading through change and identifying growth opportunities. The keynote is sponsored by Kraft Heinz.

“From North Korea to China and from the halls of Congress to the global stage, Secretary Mike Pompeo has played a firsthand role in some of the most consequential policy and national security discussions of our time,” said Greg Ferrara, president and CEO of NGA.

Pompeo graduated first in his class from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and served as a cavalry officer in the Army. After earning his law degree from Harvard Law School, he led manufacturing businesses in Kansas before representing the state’s Fourth District in Congress for four terms, then serving as CIA director and secretary of state. Since leaving government, he has been co-founder and partner of Niobrara Investment Partners, of counsel at Torridon Law and chairman of the Helms School of Government at Liberty University.

The NGA Show brings together independent supermarket operators, wholesalers, food manufacturers and service providers for educational sessions, hundreds of exhibitors and networking events.
