Save A Lot will reopen its store at 317 Grant St. in Franklin, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 16 following a refresh of the location, restoring the discount grocer’s presence in the northwestern Pennsylvania community with a two-day grand opening celebration.
The reopening extends the company’s continuing reinvestment in its Pennsylvania store network, which included a wave of refreshed, reopened stores in Indiana, Ohio and Pennsylvania last fall as the company upgraded locations it operates directly.
“The store team and I are excited to bring Save A Lot back to Franklin residents,” said Chris Olako, Save A Lot regional director. “We believe this community deserves high-quality food at a value price point that works for them. What is great about the Save A Lot brand is it helps us deliver fresh cut meat in store, fresh produce and other grocery essentials to our neighbors in Franklin while delivering value we know they want and need.”
Celebration details
The official grand opening begins at 8 a.m. Sept. 16, with the first 100 customers receiving a pre-assembled bag of grocery staples. At 9 a.m., the store team will join Franklin Mayor Doug Baker and other local elected officials for a ribbon cutting, followed by a $500 donation from the store to the Atlantic Avenue Church food pantry.
On Sept. 17, the store will give away LunchMakers snack kits to the first 100 customers and offer hot deals on fresh cut meat, produce and other pantry essentials.
The Franklin store is open daily from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., offering what the grocer describes as everyday low prices on private label and national brands; USDA-inspected meat cut fresh in store; and farm-fresh fruits and vegetables.
Founded in 1977, Save A Lot is the largest independently owned and operated value-focused grocery chain in the U.S., with approximately 650 stores in 29 states.
