Wegmans Food Markets has launched Wegmans for Athletics, a food, nutrition and hydration program aimed at collegiate athletic departments, youth sports and professional organizations.
The program bundles several services: catering through Wegmans Meals2GO; stocked pantries and refueling stations; nutrition education; and premium hospitality catering.
What it covers
- Meals for Athletes, including performance-minded pre- and post-game meals, team travel meals and “celebration support” through Wegmans Meals2GO;
- Refueling Stations & Athletic Pantries stocked with Wegmans brand snacks, hydration and supplements, replenished through large-order fulfillment across a season;
- Expert Nutritional Support, including educational activities such as cooking classes and store tours for student athletes to help them make good everyday eating decisions;
- VIP Hospitality Catering for suites, lounges, courtside areas and department events; and
- Community Engagement & Impact: nutrition education initiatives, youth engagement and support for local organizations that reinforce shared values with partner institutions.
Wegmans said many pantry items fall under its Food You Feel Good About standard, free of artificial dyes, sweeteners and unnecessary preservatives.
The program is structured to scale by institution size and competitive level, with dedicated account management and coordination with local store teams handling execution.
