Schnucks will host a customer appreciation event Thursday, Aug. 6-Sunday, Aug. 9, at its Lindenwood store in St. Charles, Missouri, to celebrate the completion of a total-store remodel and thank customers for their patience during construction.
The event at the store, located at 1900 First Capitol Dr., will feature product sampling, live music, giveaways and family activities throughout the weekend.
Celebration schedule
Festivities begin Aug. 6 from 6-7 p.m., when St. Louis City SC and Schnucks host a food donation event benefiting Operation Food Search. City SC players Palmer Ault, Tomáš Ostrák and Miguel Perez will be on hand to meet community members, sign autographs and take photos as shoppers drop off donations.
A ribbon cutting to mark the completion of the remodel takes place Aug. 7 at 3:45 p.m., followed by live music and a happy hour sampling event throughout the store from 4-6 p.m.
On Aug. 8, the store will hold a Family Fun and Sample Day from noon-4 p.m. Beginning at noon, the first 500 customers will receive a Schnucks Rewards voucher with two offers, $5 in Rewards valid Aug. 8-14 and $10 in Rewards on purchases of $75 or more valid Aug. 15-28, along with a free 12-pack of Schnucks soda or sparkling water. The day also includes a storewide tasting at stations throughout the store and cookie and cupcake decorating for kids.
The celebration wraps up Aug. 9 from noon-4 p.m. with a “Best of the House” tasting event featuring Schnucks’ signature offerings.
Remodel highlights
Renovations to the 71,000-square-foot store touched nearly every area and department, including:
- A new floral department with roses, fresh-cut flowers, arrangements and bouquets;
- An expanded deli kitchen showcasing ready-to-eat foods;
- A new Schnucks Burgers + Bites serving quick restaurant-quality burgers, brats and more;
- Expanded dairy and frozen departments;
- New decor and paint throughout the store;
- Improved flow in the vestibule and the addition of a second entrance door;
- An expanded and updated front end with new checkouts and self-checkouts; and
- Updated lighting and new fixtures in the produce, deli, bakery, meat and seafood departments.
The Lindenwood store employs 112 teammates. It opened in 2014, replacing the nearby South Duchesne Road store that Schnucks acquired from the former National Supermarkets in 1995.
