Schnuck Markets is extending its “Deals for Weeks” value initiative until early 2027.
The St. Louis-based grocer launched the program’s newest cycle Nov. 4 with locked-in savings on 891 winter and holiday essentials through Jan. 5.
Designed to complement the grocer’s traditional weekly sales, “Deals for Weeks” locks in lower prices for eight to nine weeks at a time on high-demand, seasonally relevant goods, pairing fresh weekly specials with dependable pricing on pantry and dinner staples, Schnucks said.
In the four promotional cycles since the program began in February, it has saved shoppers millions of dollars on close to 2,700 items, according to the company. Nearly half of featured products carry discounts of 30 percent or more, with top discounts reaching 64 percent off regular shelf prices. Schnucks said customer response has driven strong sales and volume gains in participating categories.
“When we introduced ‘Deals for Weeks’ earlier this year, our objective was to build on the savings found in the weekly flyer and give our customers sustained, trustworthy pricing on the items they buy most,” said Ted Schnuck, COO. “Extending this program into 2027 is a direct reinvestment in our shoppers, proving that families do not have to choose between exceptional fresh quality and meaningful budget relief.”
Holiday cycle leans on own brands
While the current cycle features national brands such as Nestlé chocolate chips (27 percent off) and Coca-Cola 2-liters (29 percent off), Schnucks Brands anchor the steepest discounts, including Schnucks frozen vegetables and Culinaria super premium ice cream at 33 percent off; Culinaria specialty entertaining nuts at 21 percent off; and Schnucks brown sugar and cooking oils at 18 and 17 percent off.
“With holiday gatherings just around the corner, we’re locking in deep savings on baking, entertaining and mealtime essentials so our customers can host family and friends with confidence all the way through the new year,” Schnuck said.
The program runs alongside the grocer’s Great Low Price initiative, which maintains everyday pricing on more than 2,400 core household essentials, and Schnucks Rewards, which earns members 2 percent cash back plus stackable digital coupons and in-app Boosts. Offers are available in all 112 stores, through the Schnucks Rewards app and via curbside pickup or delivery.
Founded in St. Louis in 1939, family-owned Schnucks operates 112 stores in Missouri, Illinois and Indiana with more than 11,000 teammates. The company is part of 1939 Group, whose family of companies also includes Festival Foods and Hometown Grocers.
