Upshop, an Austin, Texas-based provider of AI-powered retail operations software, announced several innovations at its Altitude 2026 conference in Denver.

The company said the new solutions are designed to help retailers of all sizes streamline operations, predict customer needs with greater precision, act faster in-store and turn better decisions into stronger financial results. According to Upshop, the product launches come as a result of direct customer feedback and product usage data that underscores the key needs of retailers and top trends in the market.

“Retailers today aren’t just managing inventory; they’re working to better understand and serve their customers in real time,” said Mike Sanders, CEO of Upshop. “AI is transforming how retailers operate, but more importantly, how they connect with their customers. The innovations we’re unveiling bring intelligence directly into the flow of store operations, helping grocers move from reactive decisions to proactive, customer-first performance.”

According to the company, Upshop’s agentic AI interprets signals across demand, inventory, labor and waste to identify priority actions and orchestrate execution at the store level, converting insights into real-time guided tasks for teams.

Upshop launched its Cockpit, which the company describes as an action layer that unifies insights from across the platform and translates them into prioritized tasks for store and field teams. Additional innovations include Commissary 360, the latest addition to the Upshop 360 platform, which centralizes production planning to align output with demand across multiple locations. According to Upshop, the tool streamlines recipes, scales production and improves traceability to help reduce waste, maintain consistency and improve margins across fresh operations.

The company also introduced its Elevate program, an upgrade framework intended to accelerate retailers’ transition to Upshop’s cloud platform through loyalty incentives, standardized migration pathways and accelerated implementation. Upshop 360 features a platform-level open API that enables grocers to integrate Upshop solutions with their existing systems, according to the company.

The Altitude 2026 conference includes a keynote by Fred Voccola, author of “The Coming Disruption,” who will discuss how AI is transforming industries. Conference partners include Aperion, Ravyx, Scandit, Shipt, SPS Commerce and Zebra Technologies.
