Piggly Wiggly has completed its second major refresh of 2026, celebrating the grand reopening of its store at 123 W. Oklahoma Ave. in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Shaped by shopper feedback, the renovation modernized the in-store experience while matching the aesthetic of the city’s Bay View neighborhood.
Shopper-driven upgrades
The updated Piggly Wiggly now features what Bay View shoppers asked for most – including a new store layout with wider aisles and improved lighting for a more comfortable and accessible shopping experience.
The refreshed deli department offers grab-and-go options, including fresh salads, sandwiches, chicken and Wisconsin favorites such as brats and cheese curds.
The store also boasts expanded organic and gluten-free selections and an assortment of Wisconsin brands and offerings chosen for the neighborhood.
“Bay View has a special energy, and our shoppers have always been willing to tell us exactly what they need. This remodel is our answer to that conversation – a store that truly reflects the community it serves,” said Charlie Russell, VP and general manager of Piggly Wiggly Midwest.
“We’ve invested in this store because we believe in this neighborhood, making it easier than ever to find the products they love from the brands and local makers they trust.”
In addition, the store offers an updated assortment of national and local brands, as well as Piggly Wiggly-branded products.

Piggly Wiggly celebrated its reopening with a full-day celebration June 6, featuring a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, giveaways, product sampling and family-friendly fun.
