Piggly Wiggly has completed a major refresh of its store at 4011 Durand Ave., one of three locations in Racine, Wisconsin. The remodel brings expanded fresh offerings and refreshed departments to the store.
The project focused on areas shoppers identified through feedback gathered from store guests and team members during the upgrade. Improvements include expanded fresh departments, widened aisles, updated floors and new signage. The produce, deli, meat and bakery departments feature assortments selected to meet the needs and tastes of the Racine community.
“We are so proud of this transformation and can’t wait to welcome our neighbors through our doors,” said Charlie Russell, VP and general manager of Piggly Wiggly Midwest.
“This remodel is about more than a new look — it’s about doubling down on our commitment to Racine. We’ve invested in this store because we believe in this community, and we plan to be here for generations to come.”
The store features new fresh produce displays, expanded deli and bakery offerings, and an updated assortment of national brand and Piggly Wiggly brand products.
Piggly Wiggly celebrated the remodel with a full-day event on April 18. The celebration included a ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, giveaways, product demonstrations, food and family activities. The remodel marks the store’s most significant update in 15 years.
“Piggly Wiggly’s roots in Racine run deep, and we’re excited to reinvest in our shoppers and our store in this way,” said Ryan Evers, senior district store manager for Piggly Wiggly. “Every part of this remodel was inspired by our store guests and making it easy for them to answer the question, ‘What’s for dinner?'”
