More than 1,000 exhibitors will fill the Orange County Convention Center June 7‑9 for the annual IDDBA Show, bringing new bakery, deli, cheese, and prepared foods innovations to buyers from independent and regional grocery stores.
For independent grocers, the show offers a concentrated look at labor‑saving solutions, clean‑label ingredients and globally inspired menu items that can help fresh perimeter departments stand out from national chains.
Several suppliers have previewed major launches ahead of the event, such as:
Mama’s Creations
Mama’s Creations is expanding its prepared foods platform with an emphasis on new protein formats and globally inspired menu solutions. The company’s latest offerings, boosted by its recent Crown 1 acquisition, include an upgraded chicken lineup featuring “No Antibiotics Ever (NAE)” chicken in grilled, pulled and breaded varieties, along with expanded pork and protein-rich vegetable options. To help retailers meet demand for on-trend fare, Mama’s Creations is also introducing globally influenced items such as Korean BBQ‑style meals and Mediterranean recipes, all designed to work across hot bars, grab‑and‑go sections and center‑of‑plate applications.

“These innovations are about expanding what our partners can execute, not just what they can carry,” said CMO Lauren Sella.
“We’ve continued to build a more complete prepared foods platform with new packaging formats and menu solutions that give retailers greater flexibility across the deli, whether that’s hot bar, grab‑and‑go, or center‑of‑plate meals. Our focus remains on helping retailers deliver more variety with less complexity, while maintaining the quality and consistency they expect.”
Attendees can explore the full portfolio and see the new items in action at Booth No. 4823.
Mezete
Jordan‑based Mezete brings authentic Middle Eastern dips, sauces, soups and stews to IDDBA 2026 (Booth 1300). The clean‑label, plant‑based lineup includes Classic Hummus (made with higher tahini levels), Baba Ghanouj, Muhammara, Toum garlic sauce, Shatta chili sauce and heat‑and‑eat soups like Adas (spiced lentil) and Shakshouka base. All products are non‑GMO Project Verified, vegan, halal and contain no preservatives or added oils.
Mezete’s U.S. expansion follows growing consumer demand for authentic international flavors. The brand has earned a 2026 Vegan Besties Award, a “Best New Vegan Product” from VegNews and a Forbes mention as a trending global flavor brand. Live tastings led by an on‑site chef will be available at the show.
Rise Baking Co.
At IDDBA 2026, Rise Baking Co. will showcase a full portfolio of bakery innovations – from cakes, pies and icings to cookies and muffins – designed to help retailers streamline operations, stay on trend and drive impulse purchases.
Located at Booth No. 2661, the manufacturer will spotlight clean-label solutions (including Simplicious Buttercremes and pre-deposited muffins made without artificial colors), labor-saving offerings such as Fast Pan cookies and base-iced cakes, and portion-controlled indulgent treats like Mini Bundt Cakes, Cake Squares and Snack Pies that support grab‑and‑go strategies.
New seasonal flavor concepts (lemon blueberry, banana chocolate chip, salted caramel, gingerbread) and trend‑forward decorating ideas (textured finishes, vintage florals, minimalist designs) will also be featured.
“We’re looking forward to connecting with our customers and partners at IDDBA,” said Rise Baking Company CEO Mark McNeil. “As customer needs continue evolving, IDDBA is a great time to share ideas, talk through industry challenges and celebrate the fun side of this business and the products tied to moments people genuinely enjoy.”
Puratos
Puratos (Booth No. 1617) is advancing its “beyond clean label” strategy, focusing on power ingredients like sourdough and grains and sustainable solutions such as its Cacao‑Trace program. “Clean label has become the starting point, not the final destination,” said Sloan Bennett, senior customer marketing manager.
