Houchens Food Group (HFG) has appointed Grant English as VP of retail operations for Save A Lot.

English brings more than 36 years of retail management experience to the role, with a strong background in multi-unit operations, team leadership and driving operational excellence.

English most recently served as director of operations at Food Lion, a role he held for the past six years.

Throughout his career, English has held progressive leadership positions, including store manager and operations manager with BI-LO, as well as district manager with Harvey’s Supermarket. His experience spans store operations, people development and the delivery of consistent performance across multiple locations.

English is a graduate of Clemson University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in business management with a minor in human resources development.

The company said English’s extensive retail experience, leadership and people-first approach will be a tremendous asset as Houchens Food Group continues to support its stores and strengthen operations across the Save A Lot banner.
