Wells Enterprises, the Le Mars, Iowa-based ice cream maker and part of the Ferrero Group, is showcasing an expanded frozen novelty portfolio at the 2026 NACS Show, bringing iconic Ferrero and Ferrara candy brands into ice cream for the convenience channel.
The lineup spans Kinder Bueno White, Butterfinger, 100 Grand and Baby Ruth, along with Ferrara’s Lemonhead and Trolli. Attendees at the show, running Oct. 6-9 in Las Vegas, get a first look and samples ahead of a broader rollout to convenience distributors in late 2026 and early 2027.
“At Wells Enterprises, we are creating frozen treats that build excitement and grow the ice cream category within the c-store channel,” said Ken Reuter, chief customer officer. “By combining Wells’ legacy with the strength of Ferrero and Ferrara brands, we’re delivering a differentiated innovation lineup designed to bring joy to consumers, spark impulse purchases and drive incremental sales for the channel.”
The new products include:
- Kinder Bueno White Frozen — hazelnut-flavored frozen dessert with a Kinder Bueno White disk and crispy meringue crumble, in 3.04-fluid-ounce single-serve cones and 14-fluid-ounce tubs.
- Butterfinger and 100 Grand ice cream — each in 16-fluid-ounce pints and single-serve cones, blending the candy brands’ signature pieces into flavored ice cream.
- Baby Ruth ice cream pints — nougat-flavored ice cream with caramel and chocolate-covered roasted peanut halves.
- Lemonhead Core Pops — the candy brand’s frozen debut, pairing a Lemonhead-flavored candy center with lemon frozen confection in a retro pop format.
- Trolli Gummi Pop Electric Blueberry Lemonade — released this fall, with a marbled sour flavor and the line’s soft, gummy frozen texture.
Wells cited its shopper research showing 47 percent of convenience store shoppers purchase ice cream as a treat for themselves, and that more than half have not chosen a specific brand or format before purchase, making point-of-purchase innovation critical to capturing attention.
“Being part of the Ferrero family gives us an opportunity to accelerate cross-category collaborations and turn iconic candy brands into authentic, frozen offerings,” said Isabella Chia, chief marketing officer. “By delivering brand love through new textures, formats and multi-sensory experiences, we’re creating products that capture attention, inspire trial and drive growth for our channel partners.”
Founded in 1913, Wells is the largest privately held ice cream manufacturer in the U.S., producing more than 200 million gallons per year and distributing in all 50 states. Part of the Ferrero Group since 2023, it manufactures Blue Bunny, Halo Top, Bomb Pop and Blue Ribbon Classics alongside Ferrero-owned brands.
