The Pennsylvania Food Merchants Association has appointed Anthony Tripi, sales counselor at Tripifoods, to its board of directors.
Tripi is a fifth-generation member of the Tripi family and has built his career at Tripifoods, a full-line convenience store distributor based in Buffalo, New York. He began in warehouse operations, stocking selection slots, picking orders and loading trucks, then moved through several areas of the company before transitioning into sales. He now manages a portfolio of independent and chain accounts, working directly with customers to identify opportunities for their businesses.
“Anthony brings valuable experience from several sides of the business, from warehouse operations to working directly with retailers,” said Alex Baloga, president and CEO of PFMA. “That perspective will be a strong addition to our board, especially as our members continue to navigate changes across the convenience and distribution sectors.”
Tripi earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Canisius University. As a board member, he will help guide the association’s work on behalf of Pennsylvania’s food and beverage industry.
