Sun-Maid Growers of California has launched Charcuterie Pairings, a four-variety line of portioned dried fruit and yogurt-covered raisin pouches designed to ride the charcuterie board trend into the fall and holiday entertaining season, now in distribution at retailers nationwide, including select Walmart and Target stores.
The line gives the farmer-owned co-op and food retailers a new cross-merchandising opportunity: Each 4.5-ounce package carries curated pairing ideas on the back designed to guide shoppers through the dried fruit, deli, specialty meat and cheese and cracker aisles as they build a board, connecting center store to the perimeter departments where charcuterie baskets are built.
The four new Sun-Maid varieties are:
- Dried Apricots, Blueberries and Cranberries;
- Dried Apricots, Dried Blueberries and Vanilla Yogurt Covered Raisins;
- Dried Cherries, Banana Chips and Chocolate Yogurt Covered Raisins; and
- Dried Cranberries, Dried Cherries and Chocolate Yogurt Covered Raisins.
Charcuterie continues to grow as consumers seek creative entertaining and snacking ideas, the company noted, with convenient packaging, new product formats and a widening list of accompaniments driving ongoing category expansion. Sun-Maid positions the packs for everyday snacking and toppings use beyond the entertaining occasion.
Founded in 1912, Fresno, California-based Sun-Maid is a farmer-owned cooperative known for raisins and dried fruits made with real, minimally processed ingredients.
