The Giant Company has begun renovations at two of its Giant banner stores in suburban Philadelphia.

Located at 760 Pennsylvania 113 in Souderton and 176 W. Street Road in Feasterville, both stores will remain open during the remodels, which are expected to be completed in early 2027.

The projects continue a steady remodel schedule for the Carlisle, Pennsylvania-based grocer, which launched renovations at stores in Montgomeryville, Pennsylvania, and Winchester, Virginia, in July and completed remodels in Stephens City, Virginia, and Charles Town, West Virginia, in recent weeks.

At the two Philadelphia-area stores, fresh offerings including produce, bakery, and meat and seafood, along with center store aisles, will be updated with improved efficiencies and enhanced product assortments. The deli and prepared foods departments at each location will undergo an overhaul to offer more Grab ‘n Go items, a nod to the needs of busy customers.

Souderton enhancement

“While this remodel will give current departments a needed facelift, the overall goal of the project is to enhance the shopping experience for our customers,” said Johnathan Heron, Souderton Giant store manager. “Once the remodel is completed, customers will find more product variety and meal solutions coupled with Giant’s commitment to value and freshness.”

The Souderton remodel also will update the store’s beer and wine areas, and pharmacy customers there will gain a new consultation room for pharmacists to administer immunizations in a more private setting. The store, open daily from 6 a.m.-11 p.m., opened in 2000 and employs approximately 235 team members.

Feasterville update

The Feasterville project includes updates to the store’s dairy department. The store, open daily from 6 a.m.-10 p.m., opened in 2018 and employs approximately 159 team members.

“As the needs of our customers continue to evolve, our store offerings must too,” said Kevin Bane, Feasterville Giant store manager. “This remodel will allow us to enhance the shopping experience for our customers, while staying focused on Giant’s commitment to value and freshness.”

During the renovations, customers at both stores are encouraged to use Giant Direct to order groceries online for curbside pickup.

Founded in 1923, The Giant Company operates nearly 200 stores, along with online grocery services, pharmacies and fuel stations, under the Giant and Martin’s banners in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia. It is a company of Ahold Delhaize USA.
