Natural Grocers is marking its annual Organic Month celebration in September with monthlong savings for {N}power rewards members, special offers Sept. 17-19, organic-focused education and an in-store fundraiser benefiting Rodale Institute.

“Organic Month is a chance to celebrate the quality products on our shelves, the practices behind them and the vendors who provide them,” said Raquel Isely, VP of marketing. “It’s also an opportunity to help folks discover why and how choosing organic makes a difference. We encourage our customers to read labels, look for the USDA Organic Seal and choose organic when possible because informed consumers make better choices for their health, the health of their communities and the health of our food system.”

From Sept. 4-26, {N}power members can access savings on organic products including Natural Grocers Brand Organic Sprouted Bread, Contented Hen Organic Pasture-Raised Eggs, Cascadian Farm cereals and Muir Glen pasta sauces.

From Sept. 17-19, members will receive a free limited-edition reusable bag with purchase and up to 50 percent off select organic products, including kefirlab probiotic shots, Brew Dr. kombuchas and Crofter’s Organic fruit spreads. Members also can clip a coupon Sept. 17-18 for a free package of the retailer’s bulk dried organic mango strips with a $15 purchase, and shoppers spending $75 or more those days will be entered to win a gift basket of Natural Grocers Brand organic products.

Rodale Institute fundraiser

The Lakewood, Colorado-based retailer aims to raise $100,000 for Rodale Institute by Sept. 30 through in-store efforts at its 174 stores. Natural Grocers will donate $1 for every limited-edition Organic Month reusable shopping bag sold and $2 for every Ladybug Zip Pouch sold, and customers can make $1, $5 or $10 contributions at checkout.

The retailer first announced its formal partnership with the nonprofit in September 2024 and has since held biannual in-store fundraisers supporting Rodale Institute’s Farmer Training Programs, which grow the regenerative organic agriculture movement.

Through Sept. 30, Natural Grocers also is offering free nutritional education classes at select stores, organic-focused facts and recipes, and its monthly For the Love of Organics article in the good4u Health Hotline Magazine, this month spotlighting cranberries.

Founded in 1955, Natural Grocers by Vitamin Cottage, Inc. sells only USDA-certified organic produce and exclusively pasture-raised, non-confinement dairy products and free-range eggs. The company operates 174 stores in 22 states.
