Kroger‘s Texas Division celebrated the grand reopening of its Granbury Marketplace store at 3915 Highway 377 East in Granbury, Texas, on Sept. 4, following an investment of more than $2 million.

Granbury sits about 35 miles southwest of Fort Worth. The remodel is among the 27 store refreshes Kroger has planned in the state this year, part of the division’s continuing reinvestment in its existing fleet.

Improvements include enhanced decor and layout, expanded selections in the bakery, deli, produce, floral and meat and seafood departments, and new local, natural and healthy grocery options throughout the store.

More fresh, more value

“We’re proud to unveil a newly remodeled Kroger Marketplace that reflects what our customers want most: a better shopping experience, more fresh choices and great value,” said Rudy DiPietro, president of Kroger’s Texas Division. “This investment reinforces our long-term commitment to the Granbury community, and we’re excited to celebrate alongside our customers, associates and local leaders.”

The 10 a.m. event featured a welcome from John Votava, the division’s director of communications and public affairs, followed by remarks from DiPietro and store leader Lance McMichael, who joined leadership and associates for the official ribbon cutting.

Kroger also presented an $11,300 donation to Granbury Independent School District, raised by the store during the company’s recent Backpack Boosters campaign.

Beginning at 8 a.m., shoppers enjoyed product samples, and the first 200 received a breakfast item giveaway. The reopening kicked off a special weekly ad with exclusive savings running Sept. 4-9, including 20 cents off per gallon at the store’s fuel center with a Kroger Rewards Card from Sept. 4-6.
