Kroger‘s Texas Division celebrated the grand reopening of its Bartonville Marketplace store at 3400 FM 407 in Bartonville, Texas, on July 24, following a renovation of nearly $2.5 million.
Bartonville sits about 20 minutes south of Denton and 15 minutes west of Lewisville off Farm to Market 407, nestled between Interstate 35W and Interstate 35E in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
The store is among 27 refreshes the company is planning in the state this year. Improvements at the location include updated decor and layout and expanded selections in the bakery, deli, produce, floral and meat and seafood departments, along with new local, natural and healthy grocery options.
“Each year, we reinvest into our stores to ensure the stores are as fresh as the products we serve,” said Rich Winters, VP of operations at Kroger’s Texas Division. “An investment that will be here for many years to come.”
The division has been on pace for roughly 30 grand reopenings annually.
The 9:30 a.m. event featured remarks from Winters, Texas Division Communications Director John Votava, Store Leader Dan Drake and Bartonville Mayor Jaclyn Carrington. A ribbon-cutting followed, as did Kroger’s presentation of a donation to St. Mark’s Catholic Church Bread of Life through its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste impact plan.
The first 200 shoppers received items for a breakfast giveaway, and the reopening kicked off a weekly ad running July 24-29 with exclusive savings, including 20 cents off per gallon at the fuel center with a Kroger Rewards Card from July 24-26.
