Cingari Family Markets, the family-owned and operated Connecticut supermarket company, is welcoming fall with a new limited-edition Cingari Family Markets Pumpkin Ale, created in partnership with Stamford-based Half Full Brewery.
The seasonal brew is available for a limited time run that started Sept. 7. It is sold exclusively at the company’s 10 Cingari Family ShopRite locations in Connecticut.
The pumpkin ale combines the flavors of real pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg with the drinkability of a classic fall ale. At 6 percent ABV and a medium amber color, the beer is crafted as an easy-drinking companion for the season’s traditions, from Friday night football and leaf-raking to gathering around the first fire of the season.
“We love finding new ways to bring the flavors and traditions of the season to our customers, and this collaboration with our Stamford neighbors at Half Full Brewery does exactly that,” said Thomas Cingari Sr., president and CEO of Cingari Family Markets. “This is a beer made for fall in Connecticut, and we think our customers are going to enjoy having a locally brewed, Cingari-exclusive option to celebrate the season.”
The collaboration continues a relationship between the two local businesses. Cingari and Half Full previously partnered on the Grade Above Golden Ale and Grade Above IPA, exclusive brews named for the family’s first store, Grade A Market.
Family-owned and operated since 1929, Cingari Family Markets owns 10 ShopRite supermarkets and two Grade A Market stores in southwestern Connecticut. The company is a member of the Wakefern Food Corp. cooperative.
