Sprouts Farmers Market opened two new stores today, Sept. 4. One is located at 393 N. Central Ave., Suite B, in Hartsdale, New York, and the other at 2106 Ellis Town Drive in Tracy, California. Each store held a ribbon-cutting at 6:45 a.m., with doors opening at 7 a.m. Both will be open daily 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
The coast-to-coast openings continue an aggressive expansion year for the Phoenix, Arizona-based specialty grocer, which opened stores in Waco, Texas, and Inglewood, California, in August. The Hartsdale location, in New York’s Westchester County, advances the company’s stated push into the Northeast as a growth market.

The Hartsdale store will source local produce from regional farmers including Eastern Fresh Growers, Flaim Farms, Nardelli Bros. Inc. – Lake View Farms and Sunny Valley International – The Jersey Fruit Company. Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain edible to Feeding Westchester. Tracy store
The Tracy store will work with local farmers including A.V. Thomas Produce and G&M Farms, Inc., with Food Rescue donations going to Second Harvest of the Greater Valley. Its grand opening promo code is ELLISGO20.

Both stores will celebrate with activities running Sept. 4-6. The first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free reusable tote, and the first 400 guests on Friday received a free long-stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral. Shoppers also can sample products in-store and enter to win a $500 Sprouts gift card.
Like all Sprouts locations, the new stores feature fresh produce at the heart of the store, proteins including No Antibiotics Ever chicken and grass-fed beef, a deli with build-your-own sandwiches starting at $4.99, daily fresh-rolled sushi with $5 Wednesday specials, more than 7,000 vitamins and supplements, and a bulk department with hundreds of bins and barrels.
