Albertsons Cos. pharmacies again are offering free flu immunizations at the company’s more than 1,700 pharmacy locations, including Albertsons, Safeway, Vons, Jewel-Osco, Shaw’s, Acme and Tom Thumb stores. The shots are free with most insurance.

Customers who receive a qualifying vaccination will receive a coupon for up to $20 off their next grocery purchase. The offer is available to every eligible individual who receives a qualifying vaccine, allowing households that get vaccinated together to earn additional savings.

“At Albertsons Cos., we care for our communities in the moments that matter, and helping our customers and communities stay well is at the heart of what we do,” said Anthony DalPonte, president of pharmacy and health at Albertsons Cos. “As families prepare for back-to-school and the busy fall season, our pharmacy teams are making it easy to access annual flu shots and other recommended immunizations through convenient care, trusted clinical expertise and personalized support. We’re committed to helping our customers prepare for the season ahead and make informed decisions for themselves and their families.”

Scheduling and services

Customers can schedule an appointment online through their local store’s website or app, or visit their neighborhood pharmacy as a walk-in. Many locations offer evening and weekend hours.

Pharmacists can review vaccination history and discuss additional immunizations that may be appropriate for eligible individuals and family members. Customers also receive free access to a digital vaccine record.

In addition to flu shots, Albertsons Cos. pharmacies offer vaccines for pneumonia, respiratory syncytial virus, shingles, hepatitis B, tetanus and HPV, subject to eligibility and availability.

New pharmacy customer incentives

Eligible customers who fill or transfer a prescription to an Albertsons Cos. pharmacy for the first time can earn grocery savings. Pharmacy services include prescription management tools and DriveUp & Go prescription pickup at participating locations. Restrictions apply, and some prescriptions, including refrigerated or frozen medications and first fills of controlled medications, are not eligible for DriveUp & Go.

Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons Cos. operates 2,240 retail stores with 1,708 in-store pharmacies across 35 states and the District of Columbia under 22 banners. In 2025, the company and the Albertsons Companies Foundation contributed $497 million in food and financial support to its communities.
