FMS Solutions, a financial management company serving independent grocery operators and restaurants, has announced its second annual FMS Profit Summit, taking place Oct. 6-8 at Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort in Boerne, Texas.

The two-day event covers financial benchmarking, labor management, shrink reduction and the state of the independent grocery industry. Attendees will have direct access to FMS advisors and solution partners.

“Independent retailers are running complex businesses, often without the infrastructure that larger chains have,” said Bob Graybill, president and CEO of FMS Solutions. “The FMS Profit Summit exists to close that gap.”

Speaker lineup

The program features keynote speaker Bhavdeep Singh, a former head of USA operations at Ahold, where he oversaw a $26 billion operation of nearly 800 stores.

A retailer panel will feature Richard Wardwell, Mike Beal and Steve Morrow, representing a 74-location Southern California chain, a 25-store Midwest operation and a single-store operator located seven miles from Walmart’s headquarters, respectively.

In addition, National Grocers Association President and CEO Greg Ferrara will address the national policy and competitive landscape facing independent retailers, and industry veteran Harold Lloyd will serve as emcee.

Registration details

Early bird registration pricing is available through Aug. 1, with a discounted hotel block available through Sept. 11. Sponsorship opportunities are open to companies serving the independent grocery and restaurant industries. Full details are available at fmsprofitsummit.com.
