Albertsons Media Collective, the retail media arm of Boise, Idaho-based Albertsons Cos., has introduced the Alby Awards to recognize advertising partners that delivered the strongest return on ad spend (ROAS) via the network’s platform in 2025.

Winners were evaluated using a standardized framework that measured aggregated ROAS performance across each advertiser’s brands throughout the year.

As part of the program, each award recipient will receive a custom ROAS guarantee for the first quarter of 2026 based on its performance in 2025, a move designed to show confidence in the collective’s measurement capabilities and advertising platform.

“The Alby Awards celebrate what best-in-class retail media performance looks like,” said Brian Monahan, SVP of retail media at Albertsons Cos.

“We remain steadfast in our commitment to driving collective growth with our advertising partners through transparency, accountability and by doing retail media differently. Guaranteeing ROAS puts our money where our mouth is.”

Recognizing performance across categories

The award program features honorees across 10 categories, including carbonated soft drinks, cereal and breakfast, frozen foods, refrigerated dairy and seasonal products.

Notable winners include The Coca-Cola Co. (carbonated soft drink and non-carbonated beverage), General Mills (cereal and breakfast), Mondelēz International (crackers and miscellaneous snacks), Chobani (refrigerated dairy) and Tyson Foods (meat).

Representatives of winning brands highlighted the value of data-driven retail media and the partnership with Albertsons Media Collective.

Rick Swearingen, customer VP at Mondelēz International, said the award reflects how disciplined measurement, combined with shopper intelligence, can accelerate brand and category momentum.

Albertsons Media Collective connects brands with consumers across more than 2,200 locations and a broad digital ecosystem.

Retail media has become an increasingly important channel for consumer packaged goods advertisers seeking measurable outcomes tied directly to retail performance.

Alby Award winners will be recognized at a celebration dinner scheduled for January.
