Festival Foods has launched Festival Rewards, a refreshed guest loyalty program designed to deliver savings directly at checkout, alongside a fully updated mobile app and website.

Beginning Oct. 14, guests who sign up for Festival Rewards earn 2 percent back on every qualifying in-store and online purchase. Members earn 10 points for every $1 spent, with 500 points yielding $1 in direct savings. Points remain active as long as the account stays open, and the program includes a special birthday reward.

To celebrate the rollout and mark the De Pere, Wisconsin-based grocer’s 80th anniversary, new members receive a $5 welcome bonus in points upon registration, plus an 80th anniversary free offer each week from Oct. 14 through Dec. 1.

Immediate value

“Our goal with Festival Rewards is to deliver immediate value right where our guests want it most: at the checkout,” said Adam Whitney, COO at Festival Foods. “We continuously look to guest comments to guide our innovation, and we’re excited to bring our guests this new in-store and digital shopping experience… What we’re launching today is just the beginning. The program is built to grow over time, offering even more ways for our guests to save on the groceries they buy every week.”

The updated app and website feature interactive shopping tools, direct weekly online ad browsing, digital coupon clipping and Click N Go pickup and delivery options.

Founded in 1946 as Skogen’s IGA, Festival Foods employs more than 7,000 full- and part-time associates and operates 42 full-service supermarkets throughout Wisconsin. The company is part of 1939 Group Inc., which is owned by the family that founded Schnuck Markets and also includes Hometown Grocers Inc.
