PAQ Inc., the 100 percent employee-owned company operating Food 4 Less and Rancho San Miguel Markets stores in California, has opened its 26th store and 18th Food 4 Less at 2301 W. Atherton Drive in Manteca, the company’s second in the city.
The store debuts what PAQ calls its Food 4 Less brand evolution concept, a departure from any previous store under the banner.
“The most notable changes include the store’s refreshed interior design and the addition of new departments, providing customers with a broader selection and enhanced shopping experience,” Stephanie Black, marketing manager for PAQ Inc., told The Shelby Report. “While the traditional Food 4 Less décor features a yellow-and-black color scheme, this location offers a more modern look and feel. We also expanded our assortment of hyper-local grocery items to better reflect and serve the diverse demographics of Manteca and the surrounding community.”
Departments include a full-service meat and seafood counter, farm-fresh produce, grab-and-go meals, sushi prepared daily, organic and natural selections, international foods, a fresh juice, smoothie and coffee bar and bulk foods sold by the pound.
“We have been serving the City of Manteca for over 25 years, and we are excited to debut our new Food 4 Less brand evolution concept to this community,” said Mike Molinar, president and CEO of PAQ. “This store is unlike any Food 4 Less we have ever built and will be unlike any Food 4 Less ever seen.”
Rancho San Miguel grows in Stockton
The Manteca opening follows the March debut of the company’s 25th store and eighth Rancho San Miguel Market, a 62,000-square-foot location at 2323 W. Hammer Lane in North Stockton, the banner’s second in that city.
The Stockton store features a full-service carnicería with fresh-cut and marinated meats and seafood, a panadería baking traditional Mexican pastries daily, a cocina serving tacos, burritos and other prepared Hispanic favorites, a salsa and ceviche bar, aguas frescas made fresh daily, value family meals and a made-to-order coffee bar.
“As the 25th store in our company, this opening reinforces our long-standing commitment to the City of Stockton, San Joaquin County and the greater Central Valley,” said Chris Podesto, VP and general manager. “We’re excited to continue growing with the families we serve.”
Headquartered in Lodi, California, PAQ has more than 1,000 employee owners and operates its stores in the state’s Northern, Central and Coastal regions, from Sacramento County to San Luis Obispo County.
