Stater Bros. Markets will be a part of Arboretum Marketplace, a future 74,000-square-foot neighborhood center in North Fontana, California. The retail center will bring a full-service grocery store closer to the area’s fast-growing neighborhoods, according to developer Lewis Retail Centers, a division of Lewis Group of Companies.
The developer added that the site is cleared and fully entitled, and offsite construction is now underway.
Located on Sierra Avenue just south of Interstate 15, the center will serve the growing communities surrounding the project, including The Arboretum and Sierra Lakes, where more than 4,300 homes are planned and approximately 2,400 are already sold or leasing.
Joining the Stater Bros. anchor in the tenant lineup are McDonald’s, Pacific Dental, Nothing Bundt Cakes and Wings and Rings. The Nothing Bundt Cakes will be the brand’s first in North Fontana, complementing its existing bakery on Slover Avenue, while the Wings and Rings sports restaurant will be the chain’s third California location, after Rancho Cucamonga and Modesto.
A coffee concept and another restaurant are lease pending, with additional shop spaces available and more retailers expected to join in coming months, Lewis said.
Lewis Retail Centers owns and operates 55 shopping centers in California and Nevada, including grocery-anchored, neighborhood and power centers. The developer has built more than 9 million square feet of retail space, has 31 new projects underway and draws more than 75 million visitors a year to its centers, it says.
