Panaderia (bakery) in Rancho Market Utah

Rancho Markets has opened its newest location in American Fork, Utah, expanding the independent Hispanic grocer’s presence in the state. Located at 700 E. State St., the store opened its doors Sept. 16, with a grand opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony following on Sept. 26.

The new store brings Rancho Market’s shopping experience, fresh offerings and community-focused approach to Utah County, serving Hispanic and multicultural communities. Rancho Market recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, having opened its first store in 2006.

Rancho Market exterior American Fork UT“Opening a new store is always a special moment, and it’s rewarding to see the hard work of so many people come together,” said Jamie Stevenson, director of retail account managers for Associated Food Stores, of which Rancho Markets is a member retailer. “The Rancho Market team has created something that will serve families in American Fork for years to come, and we’re excited to celebrate this achievement with them.”

Company leaders, team members, vendor partners and community members attended Saturday’s celebration, which recognized the people and organizations involved in bringing the project to completion.

Two decades of growth

Rancho Markets was founded in 2006 by Eli Madrigal, who started her career as a grocery bagger. Her aim was to serve the growing Hispanic community in Utah. In those 20 years, the company has opened 10 stores in the state.

“Her vision was to create not just a grocery store, but a cultural hub where families could find authentic products that reminded them of home,” according to the company’s website. “We’re proud to serve diverse communities across Utah, providing fresh, high-quality products at reasonable prices.”
