Kroger’s Delta Division celebrated the grand reopening of Kroger Store 426 in Cordova, Tennessee, following a $2 million investment. The store, at 1675 N. Germantown Parkway, has been at that location since 1998.
Delta Division associates joined elected officials, community leaders and Cordova residents for the celebration.
The $2 million investment included a new Kroger decor package, new bakery display tables, an expanded refrigerated cake display, new service cases and a new deli island. It also covered expanded frozen seafood cases, larger meat and dairy islands and a new fish fryer.
Kroger said the investment, guided by its purpose, Feed the Human Spirit, brings an elevated shopping experience designed to better serve the evolving needs of customers and associates.
“These improvements represent our continued investment in delivering an exceptional shopping experience and ensuring our customers enjoy a fresh, modern and welcoming store every time they visit,” said Micheal Cristal, president of Kroger’s Delta Division. “We want all our shoppers to have the best shopping experience.”
Since opening in 1998, Store 426 has served generations of families in the Cordova community. Kroger said the celebration marks a new chapter for the store while honoring the relationships and memories built there over almost three decades.
Kroger is also contributing $5,000 each to the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis/Mid-South and the Hobson Goodlow Foundation through its Zero Hunger | Zero Waste initiative. According to Kroger, the organizations create opportunities, help individuals reach their full potential and provide resources and advocacy that strengthen the communities Kroger calls home.
Kroger said its investment goes beyond buildings and improvements to people, including the families who shop with Kroger, the associates who serve with purpose and the communities that welcome Kroger as a neighbor.
