Del Real Foods is expanding its retail footprint this September as the Mexican food brand launches its Hispanic Heritage Month campaign, “Flavors That Bring Us Together.”

The Mira Loma, California-based company reports increased distribution at Meijer stores in the Midwest; Giant and Martin’s locations in Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Maryland; and Giant Food stores in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware.

The company’s expansion comes as the Hispanic foods category continues to grow, with demand accelerating among consumers nationwide, it said. Del Real Foods offers ready-made Mexican dishes, from carnitas and barbacoa to tamales, available through club, retail, foodservice and wholesale distributors.

“Hispanic Heritage Month is a meaningful opportunity to celebrate the flavors and traditions that have brought people together for generations,” said Fernando Torres, brand development and activation director, who recently joined Del Real Foods with more than 20 years of brand-building experience. “At Del Real Foods, we believe authentic Mexican food has the power to make everyday moments more meaningful. This campaign is about making it easy to gather, share great food and enjoy more time around the table.”

Campaign spans social, retail and e-commerce

Running through Oct. 15, the integrated campaign centers on two videos built around everyday gatherings: a family preparing and sharing dinner, and friends building tacos for game night. Social media creators will showcase recipe ideas using Del Real Foods meal solutions.

In-store, the campaign features point-of-sale placement at Albertsons stores in the West, while an Instacart media investment extends its reach to shoppers planning and buying groceries online. Content will run on social media, e-commerce, creator partnerships, retail and additional consumer touchpoints.
