Retail technology provider Ravyx has been certified by Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions to sell and support the Elera Commerce Platform.
With the certification, Ravyx’s teams in the U.S. and Canada will be able to help retailers evaluate and deploy the cloud-native retail system in their particular technology environments.
Ravyx says for independent grocers, the certification puts a tier-one commerce platform behind a dealer with decades of grocery-specific implementation and support experience; for enterprise retailers, Elera’s scalable architecture supports complex, multi-location environments.
“We’re in a unique time for our industry. There hasn’t been a truly new, ground-up retail solution built on modern architecture specifically for grocers in more than 20 years,” said Nick Sarpolis, account manager at Ravyx.
“Elera has the potential to fundamentally change how grocers use their systems today, while blurring the lines between e-commerce and brick-and-mortar retail to the point where we simply think of it as ‘commerce.’ That’s a win for retailers, and most importantly, a win for their customers,” Sarpolis added.
Gaining traction
The platform is already gaining traction in the grocery channel. Weis Markets completed an enterprise-wide deployment of Toshiba’s Elera Security Suite in the self-checkout lanes of all 199 of its stores late last year, one of the earliest large-scale Elera implementations in the U.S. grocery sector.
“Retail is at an inflection point where the ability to connect every aspect of commerce, from the store floor to digital engagement, is becoming a competitive differentiator,” said Eugene Shvartsman, EVP and chief revenue officer at Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions. “Together, we’re helping grocers move beyond managing isolated systems and toward creating connected, adaptable commerce environments.”
The certification expands a Ravyx portfolio that spans point of sale, electronic shelf labels, self-checkout, back-office solutions, e-commerce and integrations. The company, with offices in Endwell, New York, and Montreal, has served grocery retailers for nearly 60 years and works with operators ranging from independent stores to regional chains in North America. Ravyx formerly was known as STCR and SIR Solutions.
