Save A Lot plans to reopen its store at 217 N. Broadway St. in Georgetown, Kentucky, on Wednesday, Sept. 9, following an extended closure.
The store was unexpectedly closed last summer when a vehicle crashed into the building’s façade. Owner Anchor Foods used the closure as an opportunity to invest in updates throughout the interior, including new flooring, paint, refrigeration and signage, along with an easier-to-shop footprint.
“We’re excited to reopen our Georgetown store and welcome customers back for a fully refreshed, modern shopping experience,” said Dustin Clemons, supervisor with Anchor Foods. “We’ve been a part of the Georgetown community since 1995 and are grateful to be able to once again serve our neighbors with fresh, affordable, high-quality foods.”

Turning challenges into opportunities
The reopening continues a pattern for Anchor Foods of restoring Kentucky Save A Lot locations after unexpected closures. It reopened the Russell Springs store in 2024 after a fire. The store earned Save A Lot’s Sales and Customer Count Growth award among large operators at the company’s annual meeting this spring.
Save A Lot stores tout everyday low prices on private label brands and national brand products, USDA-inspected meat cut fresh in store, farm-fresh fruits and vegetables and other non-food items. The Georgetown store will be open seven days a week 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
