Lufkin, Texas-based Brookshire Brothers has completed its implementation of Cognira‘s PromoAI and is running the platform across its promotional operations.

The grocer selected PromoAI for its AI-driven forecasting, workflow automation and promotional performance analytics. The company said its teams can now plan and manage promotions from a single, centralized platform accessible across functions, forecast financial outcomes and promotion performance, and evaluate promotional effectiveness after an event to inform future plans.

“Following an in-depth evaluation process, we concluded that Cognira has an outstanding reputation, innovative technology and a proven track record in promotion management,” said John Alston, president and CEO of Brookshire Brothers. “Cognira understood our business needs, kept us aligned every step of the way and delivered a platform our teams were ready to use from day one. The implementation set us up for success, and the results are already reflecting that.”

Cognira provides AI-powered promotion management software for enterprise retailers. Its PromoAI platform is designed to help retailers plan, manage and optimize promotions.

“Seeing Brookshire Brothers go live on PromoAI is a milestone we’ve been looking forward to since day one,” said Hatem Sellami, founder and CEO of Cognira. “From the very first conversation, their team approached this as a true partnership – engaged, prepared and committed to getting it right. PromoAI is built to help retailers like Brookshire Brothers unlock the full value of their promotions through data, automation and collaboration, and we’re already seeing that come to life. We look forward to growing this relationship and supporting their journey toward smarter, more impactful promotions.”

Founded in 1921 by brothers Austin and Tom Brookshire, Brookshire Brothers operates more than 100 locations across Texas and Louisiana. The company became majority employee-owned in 1999 and fully employee-owned in 2006.
