Macey’s is celebrating the grand re-opening of its Lehi, Utah, store following a months-long remodel, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and remarks scheduled for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. Complimentary samples will be offered throughout the store following the event.
The Lehi location has served the community since 2011. The remodel brings an updated decor package; an expanded pharmacy with a drive-thru; an in-store Starbucks with a seating area; and reorganized departments and aisles intended to improve shopping flow.
A BreadBot, an in-store smart oven that bakes loaves of bread throughout the day, is coming soon.
“We’re so excited about the refreshed store and can’t wait for guests to see it,” said Greg Welling, VP of Associated Retail Operations. “Macey’s has proudly served the Lehi community for 15 years, and I’m excited about the updates and new offerings. Many team members have worked hard to bring this project to life, and I’m grateful for their dedication.”
Pharmacy expansion
The expanded pharmacy allows guests to pick up prescriptions from their vehicles and offers clinical services, including immunizations, women’s health and beauty services.
Grand reopening events
Grand reopening pricing runs Aug. 12-18, with savings featured throughout the store.
A celebration event is planned for Saturday, Aug. 15. The first 100 guests to check out beginning at 6 a.m. will receive free goodie bags. From 9 a.m. to noon, the store will offer samples, giveaways, free items and family activities. At 11 a.m., Macey’s will hold its annual Kong Kone eating contest in honor of the mascot Kong’s birthday, with winners in each age group receiving a year’s worth of Momma Kones.
Macey’s, part of Associated Retail Operations, is a Utah-based grocer owned by Associated Food Stores. The company traces its roots to the Save-A-Nickle Market, opened in 1947 in Rose Park, Utah.
