Sprouts Farmers Market will open three stores on Friday, July 24 – a flagship location in Phoenix, a store in Buckeye, Arizona, and its newest Delaware store in Bear – followed by a fourth opening July 31 in Weatherford, Texas.
Each store will hold a ribbon-cutting at 6:45 a.m. and open to the public at 7 a.m. All four will operate daily 7 a.m.-10 p.m.
New corporate HQ
The Phoenix store, at 20650 N. 56th St., anchors the CityNorth development, which also will house the retailer’s new corporate headquarters when it opens this summer. The development includes additional retail and restaurant space.
“Opening our new flagship store in Phoenix is a proud milestone for Sprouts and a meaningful investment in our home state of Arizona,” said Dave McGlinchey, chief development officer at Sprouts. “We’re especially excited to anchor this development alongside our new headquarters, reinforcing our long-term commitment to the Phoenix community and our continued growth across Arizona.”
The Buckeye store is at 20975 W. Roosevelt St., near the Verrado master-planned community. The Bear, Delaware, location is at 888 Presidents Row, and the Weatherford, Texas, store is at 317 Center Point Rd.
“One of the things we’ve consistently heard from residents is the desire for specialty grocery options in Buckeye,” said Buckeye Mayor Eric Orsborn. “This project brings fresh, healthy food choices, creates new jobs and continues to expand the shopping amenities that enhance the quality of life for our residents.”
In Delaware, New Castle County Executive Marcus Henry said the opening reflects growth in the county and expands food access for residents.
Local flavor
Each store will source produce from local and regional growers. The Arizona locations will work with Blue Sky Organic Farms, Duncan Family Farms and Wholesum Farms; the Delaware store with Fifer Orchards and Jim Rash Watermelons; and the Texas store with J&B Farms and Little Bear Produce.
Through the company’s Food Rescue program, the Arizona stores will donate unsold but edible groceries to St. Mary’s Food Bank; the Bear store to the Food Bank of Delaware; and the Weatherford store to the Tarrant Area Food Bank.
Grand opening weekends at each location will run Friday through Sunday. The first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a reusable tote, and the first 400 guests Friday will receive a long-stem rose. Shoppers who sign up for a Sprouts Rewards account can receive 20 percent off one purchase during the opening weekend.
Part of broader expansion
The openings are part of a broader expansion push. Sprouts opened six stores in the first quarter of 2026, reaching 483 locations in 25 states as of March 29, and has said it expects to open at least 40 stores for the full year, nearly all within its existing footprint. Its pipeline includes nearly 150 approved sites and more than 105 executed leases. The company reports second-quarter results July 29.
