Save Mart and Lucky are offering Rewards members up to $1 off per gallon at participating Shell stations through Sept. 15, in what the companies describe as the biggest fuel discount they have offered. The promotion raises the cap on how many Rewards points members can redeem per fill-up tenfold, from 100 points, worth 10 cents off per gallon, to 1,000 points, worth up to $1 off per gallon.
Members also can earn 4X points on participating items each week through Aug. 11.
“With summer travel in full swing, families are looking to save, especially at the gas station,” said Vivek Kalpande, senior vice president of digital and e-commerce for The Save Mart Companies. “That’s why we’re launching this meaningful discount. For a family filling up a 20-gallon tank, we’re putting $20 back in their pocket – real savings that matter.”
Members earn 1 point for every $1 spent on qualifying purchases at participating Save Mart or Lucky stores by entering their Rewards phone number at checkout, with every 100 points equal to 10 cents off per gallon. Redemptions during the offer are limited to 20 gallons per fill-up with qualifying fuel, for a maximum of $20 in savings, and members redeem by entering their phone number at participating Shell stations.
Membership is free, and customers can join through the Save Mart or Lucky apps, online or in store. The expanded fuel benefit applies automatically to members already enrolled. Other Rewards benefits include the Member Pricing program, cash back on select purchases, digital coupons and weekly Freebie Friday offers.
