FMI's Jennifer Hatcher and Stephanie Harris

FMI – The Food Industry Association has appointed two senior executives to newly expanded leadership roles that will strengthen advocacy, innovation and member engagement. The July 14 announcement called the roles “foundational” to FMI’s mission.

Jennifer Hatcher has been appointed chief innovation, strategy and membership officer. After serving FMI for more than 25 years as a senior government relations executive, and in recent years assuming an expanded role in member relations, Hatcher will lead the organization’s long-term strategic planning and innovation initiatives. She will focus on enhancing member value, strengthening engagement and positioning the organization for sustained growth.

Stephanie Harris has been named chief public policy officer and general counsel, leading FMI’s public policy agenda and government affairs. That responsibility is added to her current duties that cover legal strategy and regulatory advocacy. Harris will work to advance policies that support a strong, competitive food industry while providing strategic legal counsel to the organization, the Arlington, Virginia-based association said.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to building an organization that is both a powerful advocate for the food industry and an innovative partner for our members,” said Leslie G. Sarasin, FMI president and CEO.

“Together, Jennifer and Stephanie bring the leadership, expertise and vision needed to navigate an evolving policy landscape while driving strategic growth and delivering greater value to our membership.”
