Lidl US is launching its Lidl Plus loyalty program in the United States on July 15. Used by more than 120 million customers worldwide, Lidl Plus is one of the largest grocery apps in the world, according to the company.

The app brings personalized offers, member-exclusive offers and rewards together, and allows shoppers to combine instant savings with points-based rewards.

“Launching Lidl Plus is part of our strategy to bring even more value to our customers,” said Lidl US CEO Alan Barry. “We’re always looking for new ways to make it more rewarding to shop at Lidl US, and we’re confident our customers will love all the new benefits of Lidl Plus.”

Key features include Lidl Points, earned on every purchase and redeemable for free products and other rewards; member exclusive offers with pricing that applies at checkout when customers scan the app; personalized coupons tailored to individual shopping habits and preferences; digital receipts that organize and save every purchase within the app for tracking and returns; and Surprises, reward experiences including Mystery Boxes and Spin To Win, the latter coming after launch.

Customers who download and register the app by July 14 will receive an early-bird bonus of a coupon for one free ready meal, redeemable July 15-31, while in-store shoppers can receive complimentary Lidl merchandise, while supplies last.

All customers, including existing myLidl users, must register for the new Lidl Plus platform. Customers who register with the same email address associated with their myLidl account will have select profile information transferred.

To celebrate the launch, Arlington, Virginia-based Lidl US is rolling out its Tap Into Savings campaign across digital and social channels. The campaign features creator content from dancers “tapping” into the rewards, offers and savings available through the app.
