Customers are invited July 11 to Big Y’s Big Bash – a one-day, companywide celebration honoring the Massachusetts-based grocer’s 90th anniversary – at all of its supermarket, Table & Vine and Express fuel and convenience locations.
Set for noon-3 p.m., the event is designed to thank shoppers for being part of the company’s journey, bringing together families, employees and communities. Big Y leaders and support center employees also will take part.
Customers can expect free cupcakes, samples and a scavenger hunt for children. Throughout the event, employees will surprise shoppers at random with gift card giveaways and anniversary reusable bags.
“For 90 years, our employees have welcomed customers into our stores as neighbors, friends and family,” said Nicole D’Amour Schneider, SVP of retail operations and customer experience.
“As a local company, we are grateful to be a part of people’s daily lives – from weeknight dinners on the go to major milestone events. This anniversary celebration gives us all the opportunity to come together as one community to acknowledge our past, present and future and to thank our customers for being a part of our story.”
Big Y’s Big Bash is one of many activities taking place throughout 2026 as the company marks its anniversary.
