Big Y is inviting customers to a one-day, companywide celebration in honor of its 90th anniversary. Big Y’s Big Bash, a customer appreciation event, is set for Saturday, July 11, from noon-3 p.m. at all of the company’s supermarket, Table & Vine and Express fuel and convenience locations.

The event is designed to thank shoppers for being part of Massachusetts-based Big Y’s 90-year journey, bringing together families, team members and local communities across every store. Store teams will be joined by Big Y leaders and support center employees, according to the company.

Customers can expect complimentary cupcakes, samples and a scavenger hunt for children. Throughout the event, team members will surprise shoppers at random with gift card giveaways and anniversary reusable bags.

“For 90 years, our employees have welcomed customers into our stores as neighbors, friends and family. As a local company, we are grateful to be a part of people’s daily lives – from weeknight dinners on the go to major milestone events. This anniversary celebration gives us all the opportunity to come together as one community to acknowledge our past, present and future and to thank our customers for being a part of our story. We look forward to celebrating with you,” said Nicole D’Amour Schneider, SVP of retail operations and customer experience.

Big Y’s Big Bash is one of many activities taking place throughout 2026 as the company marks its 90th anniversary.
