On June 19, The Giant Co. will celebrate the grand reopening of its store at 1540 Cowpath Road in Hatfield, Pennsylvania, following several months of major renovations.
The store, which debuted in 2008 and has about 200 employees, remained open during the remodel.
“From needed updates to our current departments to providing more product variety and an increased focus on value and freshness, this remodel puts our Hatfield neighbors front and center,” said Leah Marsland, store manager.
“We’re excited to offer our customers a refreshed shopping experience combined with the kindness they have come to expect from our store team.”
The remodel includes new modernized décor and signage throughout the store. Signature fresh departments – produce, bakery, meat, and seafood – along with center store aisles have been updated with improved efficiencies and enhanced assortments.
The deli and prepared foods department has been overhauled, now with more offerings and Grab ‘n Go items.
The beer and wine area has been relocated to the front corner, and the pharmacy now features a pop-out area for vaccine administration in a more private setting. Giant’s Wall of Values has been reimagined as a one-stop shop for key sale items from the weekly circular.
Grand reopening festivities will include a gift card raffle, giveaways and free cake. Product samplings will take place throughout the fresh departments with vendor partners Cohen, Boar’s Head, Hatfield, and Chabaso Bakery.
National brand sampling will be offered in center store aisles throughout the day, with appearances from mascots Chester Cheetah (Frito-Lay), Herr’s guest Chipper and the Phillie Phanatic.
