The Winn‑Dixie Co. recently held grand reopenings for five former Harveys Supermarkets in north and central Florida and south Georgia that are now operate under the corporate banner.
These openings continue the Jacksonville-based grocer’s ongoing efforts to unify its store holdings under the Winn‑Dixie banner. This wave of converted stores includes these locations:
- 5909 University Blvd., Jacksonville, Florida;
- 5250 Moncrief Rd., Jacksonville, Florida;
- 1305 Ariana St., Lakeland, Florida;
- 2630 U.S. Hwy. 92, Lakeland, Florida; and
- 3606 Second St., Folkston, Georgia.
Each opening featured a ribbon‑cutting ceremony with local officials and community partners, live entertainment, giveaways and customer activities.
Winn‑Dixie also presented $1,000 donations to local schools and nonprofits in each community.
The rebranded stores feature refreshed departments, expanded Hispanic offerings, enhanced deli and seafood counters, updated store designs and improved shopping experiences shaped by customer and associate feedback.
