Sprouts Farmers Market will open a new store May 15 at 2170 S. Bradley Road in Santa Maria, California. A ribbon-cutting will take place at 6:45 a.m. and the doors to the store will open at 7 a.m.
Santa Maria Mayor Alice Patino said the city has been looking forward to the opening.
“The City of Santa Maria is excited for the opening of Sprouts as it is a business that many of our residents look forward to having within our community,” Patino said.
“Sprouts is a wonderful addition to the Crossroads Shopping Center and provides another option for healthy and convenient produce and goods for our residents. We welcome Sprouts and wish them the best success in Santa Maria.”
What shoppers can expect
Stepping into Sprouts, shoppers can expect an experience rooted in freshness, quality and wellness. The store offers fresh produce sourced in partnership with local and regional farmers, healthy proteins including no antibiotics ever chicken, 100 percent grass-fed beef, sustainably-sourced seafood and vegetarian and vegan offerings.
Fast, fresh lunch solutions include $5 Sushi Wednesdays, with sushi rolled fresh daily in-store, and famous $5 sandwiches starting at $4.99 featuring Sprouts Brand deli meats free from preservatives and nitrates and sliced daily. Sprouts Wellness Bowls are fresh, flavorful and ready-to-eat meals made daily in-store, packed with protein and starting at $8.99.
The store also offers an assortment of more than 7,000 vitamins, supplements and wellness products, with wellness experts in every store. The bulk department features hundreds of bins and barrels with freshly roasted coffee beans, rice, nuts, dried fruits, granolas, trail mixes, baking essentials, spices and sweets — all free from artificial colors and artificial flavors.
Grand opening weekend activities
To kick off the grand opening weekend, Sprouts is hosting a series of onsite activities from May 15-17.
The first 200 shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free reusable tote. The first 400 guests on Friday will receive a free long stem rose courtesy of Falcon Farms Floral. Inside the store, shoppers can sample products from Sprouts.
Shoppers can also receive 20 percent off their purchase once over the grand opening weekend when they sign up for a Sprouts Rewards account. Shoppers can enter their phone number or scan their barcode in-store or shop online using promo code “SANGO20.”
Investing in the community
Sprouts Farmers Market is invested in serving the communities where it operates.
The retailer works with local and regional farmers like G&M Farms and Windset Farms to source local produce. Through Sprouts’ Food Rescue program, the new store will donate groceries that are no longer fit for sale but remain perfectly edible and nutrient rich to the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County.
The location will be open daily from 7 a.m. until 10 p.m.
