Associated Supermarket Group announced two stores among its network of independent retailers: the opening of a Bread & Butter Market in Brooklyn, New York’s Williamsburg neighborhood and the re-grand opening of the rebannered and remodeled The Market of Waldwick in New Jersey.

Bread & Butter Market

Bread & Butter Market opened its newest location Sept. 21 at 460 Driggs Ave. in Williamsburg, combining premium groceries, chef-prepared foods, specialty offerings and everyday convenience under one roof, according to an announcement from ASG.

“Designed to reflect the way Brooklyn eats, shops and gathers,” as ASG described the store, it features a sushi counter, full-service deli, hot food station, bakery, juice bar, coffee bar and pizza station, along with a curated selection of fresh produce, specialty items and pantry staples.

The Market of Waldwick

Market of Waldwick NJThe Market of Waldwick, at 19 Wyckoff Ave., celebrated its re-grand opening Sept. 25 following a remodel and a banner change for the former Food Emporium location. The store remains under the same ownership – Shap Markets – and with the same team, according to a Facebook post from the store.

The refreshed store promotes thousands of lower prices, expanded produce, fresh meat and seafood, deli and prepared foods, and bakery favorites, with free giveaways for its first 200 shoppers on reopening day.

ASG said the milestone marks another step in its commitment to supporting independent retailers and helping communities thrive through its grocery solutions.

Associated Supermarket Group provides retail solutions to independently owned grocery stores in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, including distribution, marketing, merchandising, promotional services and store financing, giving independent stores access to economies of scale normally available only to larger supermarket chains. Its banners include Associated, Associated Fresh, Compare, Compare Fresh, Met Foods, Met Fresh and Pioneer, along with independently named stores.
