Walmart opened a new Neighborhood Market Sept. 30 on the north side of Crestview, Florida, marking the retailer’s seventh new store opening in the state since September 2025.

The 48,585-square-foot store creates 166 jobs and offers fresh groceries, everyday essentials, pharmacy services and fuel. Customers can shop in-store or through pickup and delivery, including Express Delivery in as little as 30 minutes.

“We’re proud to open our doors and begin serving the Crestview community,” said Store Manager Kwadwo Kyeremeh. “We have an incredible team that is ready to serve our neighbors and make this a place where customers can find the fresh food, everyday essentials and value they need, all close to home.”

The store features wider aisles, clear signage and a streamlined checkout experience versus previous Neighborhood Market designs. Fresh food offerings include sushi prepared in-store, fresh-cut fruit, ready-to-eat meals, deli selections and fresh tortillas, along with a full grocery assortment, expanded household essentials, floral services and custom cake decorating.

The pharmacy provides prescription delivery, immunizations, medication counseling and consultations, and test-and-treat options for select conditions.

Grand opening celebration

The daylong celebration included Crestview High School’s band, cheer squad and JROTC, culinary experiences featuring local and national chefs, an appearance by three-time Olympian and Crestview-area resident Mia Manganello and a performance by multi-platinum artist Niko Moon, along with a recognition of local military families.

Walmart awarded $18,500 in grants to six local organizations: Together We Thrive; Gulf Coast Council, Boy Scouts of America; Crestview Area Shelter for the Homeless; Saving Grace Women’s Home Florida; Crestview Police Foundation Inc.; and the Crestview High School Band. The retailer also recognized six associates at the new store who together bring more than 150 years of Walmart experience.

“We’re excited to welcome Walmart Neighborhood Market to the north side of Crestview,” said Mayor J.B. Whitten. “This is something our growing community has needed, and it will give residents a convenient place to shop close to home.”

The opening continues Walmart’s investment in Florida, where the retailer has invested more than $1.5 billion over the past five years, with 58 stores planned for remodels in 2026.

Bentonville, Arkansas-based Walmart operates more than 10,750 stores and numerous e-commerce websites in 19 countries, with fiscal 2026 revenue of $713 billion. Neighborhood Markets are the retailer’s smaller-format stores combining groceries and select general merchandise categories.
