AI-powered shopping, retail media’s next growth phase and the GLP-1-driven shift in consumer demand will anchor the agenda at Groceryshop 2026, taking place Sept. 22-24 at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
Senior leaders from Instacart, Unilever Wellbeing, Kroger, DoorDash, Once Upon a Farm, Sam’s Club, BJ’s Wholesale Club, Mercado Libre, Dollar General and Diageo are among more than 150 confirmed speakers. The event is expected to draw more than 4,000 retail professionals from over 50 countries, with one in three at the C-suite level.
“Shopping baskets in grocery, convenience, dollar and drug channels are being reshaped at once, by AI, GLP-1, and retail media,” said Rocquan Lucas, VP of content at Groceryshop. “Leaders rarely get the chance to compare notes with a peer solving the same problem in a different channel or country. That’s what Groceryshop is built for.”
Keynote lineup
Instacart CEO Chris Rogers will discuss how the company is building a more intuitive shopping experience and how retailers and brands can apply AI, retail media and technology. DoorDash co-founder Andy Fang will join Yael Cosset, EVP and chief digital officer at Kroger, to cover conversational and personalized AI-powered shopping experiences.

Jostein Solheim, CEO of Unilever Wellbeing, will address growth across a portfolio that includes Liquid I.V., OLLY, Nutrafol and Grüns. Once Upon a Farm co-founders Jennifer Garner and John Foraker will discuss omnichannel growth through retail partnerships alongside direct-to-consumer sales.
Myron Frazier, EVP and chief merchant at Sam’s Club, will cover how the wholesale club retains value-driven shoppers through private label and assortment optimization. Michael Beacham, president of California Pizza Kitchen, will discuss expanding the brand’s CPG business in grocery aisles beyond frozen pizza.
Session highlights
Programming includes a session on in-store retail media featuring Brian Monahan, SVP of retail media at Albertsons Media Collective, and Parbinder Dhariwal, VP and general manager of CVS Media Exchange, on moving in-store media beyond standard shopper marketing and proving its sales impact.
Another panel examines how shifting health priorities, GLP-1 adoption and cultural diversity are reshaping assortment decisions, with John Conlin, SVP of merchandising for food and beverage at Target, Talia Monroe, SVP of commercial growth at Chobani, and Dan Haugen, co-founder and COO of Roxberry Naturals.
Researchers from Bain, Kantar and Euromonitor International will present findings on AI’s real impact on product discovery and purchasing, and what it signals for agentic and autonomous shopping.
Networking and new structure
The event’s Meetup program facilitated more than 30,000 co-matched business meetings last year. Grammy-winning producer Timbaland will headline Groceryfest, the event’s networking party, Sept. 23 at Mandalay Bay Beach.
Groceryshop is also joining Shoptalk Fall under a single umbrella, Shoptalk Innovation Week, allowing attendees to add the Nashville event to their Las Vegas ticket.
A Hyve Group event, Groceryshop brings together retailers, brands, technology providers, investors and startups across grocery, mass, club, drug, dollar, convenience, pharmacy and CPG. Registration and the full agenda are available at groceryshop.com.
